Do you need support, but can’t make it to an in-person appointment? Are you a busy stay-at-home or working parent, and don’t have the time to drive across town for an appointment? Do you have physical limitations or challenges that prevent you from leaving your home? Are you travelling for business or vacation or a student in college or university? Do you live in a more rural area without access to services, or maybe you prefer to just do things by telephone or video? If so, we can help you through TelePsychotherapy.

    What is TelePsychotherapy?

TelePsychotherapy allows us to provide distance services to our clients via live video conferencing or telephone. This can be done anywhere you have a computer or smartphone. TelePsychotherapy appointments can be very beneficial if getting to a traditional in-person appointment is not convenient, or you simply just don’t want to. It is beneficial for individuals 18 years of age and older. To learn more and get started with TelePsychotherapy, please contact us today.

TelePsychotherapy is not crisis therapy; it is not for every person (i.e. you are feeling suicidal, you engage in self-cutting behaviour, you have an eating disorder, serious substance abuse issue, severe post-traumatic stress symptoms or you have been diagnosed with a psychiatric illness such as major depression, schizophrenia). If you are in crisis or suffer with a mental illness, please call your family doctor, a distress centre or crisis line by dialing 211, visit the emergency department of your local hospital, or dial 911.
